Breathwork & Energy Healing/Reiki

As an Energy healer and Breathwork Facilitator, I offer one-on-one individual healing sessions, couples breathwork and breathwork circles. I often collaborate with other healers in various constellations. Please follow me on socials to get to know me more.

Individual Breathwork, Couples Breathwork and Healing circles

I am an accredited Breathwork facilitator and trainer with Nalu Breathwork, Massage & Training. The style of Breathwork we offer originates in Hawaii. This is conscious, circular breathing, a very heartfelt and healing way of doing breathwork. In this style of breathwork, you are always in full control of your own breath, and can take it as deep as you desire. I always focus on feeling into your heart space.

Breathing together like this under a longer period of time, releases blockages, lessen stress and anxiety and bring you to a state of bliss, joy and stillfullness.

I offer one-on-one individual healing sessions, couples breathwork, run breathwork circles and teach NALU Breathwork Level 1 (accredited training). I often collaborate with other healers in various constellations. Please follow me on socials to get to know me more.

Please don’t hesitate to come and join me for a breathwork circle, or book an individual or couple’s session with me.

Reiki/Energy Healing

I am a level 2 Reiki practitioner, certified by Karen Patten, Numala Wellness Retreat. I am currently studying shamanism, and have completed their Gematria training (Egyptian Numerology).

Receiving Reiki or energy healing offers a multitude of benefits for both the body and mind. This holistic practice aims to balance and harmonize the body’s energy centers, promoting relaxation, stress reduction, and overall wellbeing. Through gentle touch or hands held slightly above the body, Reiki practitioners facilitate the flow of energy, clearing blockages and promoting natural healing processes. Many report feelings of deep relaxation, peace, and a reduction in physical discomforts such as tension or pain. Beyond the physical, Reiki can also support emotional healing by releasing stored emotions and fostering a sense of inner peace and clarity. Over time, regular Reiki sessions can strengthen the immune system, improve sleep quality, and enhance one’s ability to cope with life’s challenges, making it a valuable tool for maintaining holistic wellness and vitality.

Your session may include other areas of my healing modalities, such as breathwork, energy field reading, or other. I recommend to come weekly for the first month, then fortnightly or monthly, depending on the areas you are wanting to improve and heal.

Mindfulness Coaching

Have you tried counselling/psychology and feel that it’s not for you?

I help you introduce mindfulness in your daily life, letting go of things that aren’t serving you any longer and seeing things in a different light.

*Disclaimer: Please note that I am not an allied health professional. I am that extra support you might not receive from these professionals. I come from lived experience and long going interest and study in these areas. I have a holistic approach where I may include nutrition, mindfulness, energy healing and other to help you reach your full potential.

**If you have NDIS funding and are self-managed, you can claim my services under the “Core Supports” category. Please contact me to help with this.

I offer coaching/healing online or in person (Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast).

*Please see my disclaimer and privacy policy prior to booking.

Autism / ADHD Coaching & Education

Autism / ADHD people often have a non-linear way to view the world. We are neurologically wired differently than neurotypical people, and because we are still in minority, it can be difficult for us to navigate our lives.

As an Autism / ADHD coach with Autism & ADHD myself, I have learned to live a non-linear way in a linear society, and it is my passion to help those who would like to turn their abilities into superpowers, and empower themselves to stop being a victim of a broken system, but rather find and master their strengths to guide and lead others in this rapidly changing world.

I offer 1:1 coaching in-person (Gold Coast), on zoom (worldwide) and via text/email for those who struggle to speak with someone in person.

I also hold educational seminars and workshops, and can come to your business/workplace to raise awareness about Neurodiversity and how to design a workplace that suits everyone.

ASD/ADHD Pre-diagnosis screening

Do you suspect that you might be on the spectrum? You might have a child or family member that has been recently diagnosed with Autism/ADHD, and you start recognizing those traits in yourself?

Before spending thousands of dollars on psychiatrists/psychologists, come to me for a pre-diagnosis screening. We go through the DSM5 criteria, what life can look like before/after diagnosis, and I can help find the right specialists needed to make the diagnosis process as smooth as possible.

Post-diagnosis mentoring/support

Have you recently been diagnosed with Autism or ADHD? Has your child or partner been diagnosed with Autism or ADHD?

I offer post-diagnosis mentored support and coaching to help you through the process.

When we receive a diagnosis, especially as an adult, it may feel that we lose some of our identity. For me, that was a defragmentation of my whole self, and to go back memory by memory and re-live it. I wished I had someone to go through and navigate that with, and that is why I wanted to become an Autism & ADHD coach.

I can be that listening ear and coach that can help guide you through and process your thoughts and how to move forward from after a diagnosis.

I also help individuals who have recently had a partner, relative or child diagnosed, to understand better how they can assist and help them.

Codependency healing

Are you a person that often feel that every relationship you get into fail, and you often feel that it’s your fault? Do you feel powerless in your relationships or that the world is on your shoulders, without you everything would fall apart?

Codependency is common when growing up in dysfunctional families, or may form when living with a toxic person for a long time.

I can help you in a holistic way to heal your codependency and develop healthier relationships with self and others, including your children.

Relatives support/coaching

There is a lot of help out there for those with distinct mental health conditions and addictions. But who is helping their families?

If you are a relative/spouse/parent/ex-partner/adult child, then I would love to be of assistance.

Often, you feel powerless when being closed to a person with addictions. Relatives are often well-meaning and push hard for their loved one to receive help. But sometimes it can go the opposite way. Eventually, they lose their autonomy, which leads into this spiral of disengagement on their behalf and increased control, resentment and worry from their loved ones. It creates this push-pull dynamic that is not healthy for anyone involved.

As a coach and healer, I come from a different angle. People pleasing is also a form of addictive behavior, so when we start helping you, the “empath”, the ripple effect of your healing and increased understanding, may in turn also help your loved one.

Addiction support/recovery

Addiction affects the whole family. Often your trauma may come from growing up in a dysfunctional or neurodiverse home. Or you might need help dealing with a person with addictive behaviors, alcoholism, or narcissistic traits.

I help you recover from a dysfunctional situation in a parent, friend, adult child, spouse or ex-partner.

My holistic approach focus on mindfulness and healing: we use a combination of healing methods to help you in your recovery from your emotional trauma/codependency.

I can also assist with dependency and addictive behaviors such as food cravings, excessive exercise, workaholism, co-dependency/people pleasing, phone and internet addiction. Please note that I do not specialize in treating sex/porn addiction, heavy alcohol/drug addiction, or gambling.

My view on Narcissism

I’m doing my best to refrain from the term “Narcissist”, unless the person has received a NPD diagnosis.

I may refer to “narcissistic tendencies” or “narcissistic traits”, though the word “Narcissist” is heavily thrown around today.

Narcissism is a human defense mechanism, based in feelings of shame and guilt. Behaviors such as manipulation, gaslighting, verbal abuse, blame shifting, and so on, are coping mechanisms developed either from growing up in a dysfunctional home, where these behaviors where learned. Narcissistic tendencies can also develop where the person may have gaps in their cognitive functions, such as communication, emotional regulation, memory, executive functions, information processing, and more. When these individuals lived a lifetime without supports in these areas, they can develop a deep feeling of shame and failure to function at the capacity of other people, which leads to development of narcissistic mechanisms to cope with the world.

My view on addictions

Anyone can develop dependency or addictions to substances and high-dopamine releasing activities.

Some people are pre-disposed to a higher risk of developing addictions. ADHD, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, trauma and other mental health conditions, affect our brain chemistry, which involves our neurotransmitters Dopamine, Serotonin and Noradrenaline. If we are naturally low in these chemicals, we are more likely to develop addictive behaviors, if going untreated.

This is a reason why there is a strong pull to get an early diagnosis, to hopefully help these individuals understand and accept themselves, but also to assist medically where needed, to avoid self medicating.

Eyelash Extensions with a twist

One of my favourite things in the world is to create highly technical, customized and naturally styled Eyelash Extensions for my clients, while using the time effectively for healing, therapy, coaching, or education.

Sitting in front of a therapist might feel scary for neurodiverse people. Here you keep your eyes closed, laying on a comfortable bed in my private studio while I apply your eyelashes gently onto your eyes.

You can use your session as you feel suitable on the day, we discuss interesting topics, other times we can use the session for therapy & coaching, or you may want to go into a deep meditative state.

Helping people heal in a Broken world

I am a 40 year old mother of 2 teen boys living in Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast.
I was born in Sweden and moved to Australia in 2016.

In 2020, just like many others’, my world was flipped on its head. After running a successful business for 16 years in Sweden and Australia, everything stopped, and the stress I had been carrying for so long caused me to go into a severe burnout. Life as I knew it fell apart, my business collapsed and my marriage ended.

I have spent my time since, getting to know myself. I have completed various courses, not just to help others but to understand and heal myself on a deep level. During those years I was also diagnosed with ADHD, Autism and CPTSD. These diagnosis took me some time to accept, and I am now passionate to help others that may have received a mental health diagnosis, or have a relative that has.

I feel a calling to help others that don’t feel they fit into the stereotypical mold of today’s society.

Some of my clients come to me to get help living with a neurodiverse family member or addict.

My view on this world is that we have built a society that is extremely difficult to navigate as a neurodiverse person. This creates separation, addictions and trauma even for the neurotypical person.

I am a philosopher by nature, a healer by spirit and autistic by society. Isn’t it funny how we all have to use labels to fit us into boxes?

I am an avid gymer who has done weight training for the best part of a decade. I have however gathered some age-related injuries over the years. My physio and doctor recommended I add more relaxing types of massages in addition to more body/mind practices like yoga, Pilates, and meditation. Upon experimentation, I tried a traditional type, Polynesian-born Lomilomi massage with Mimmi. It was an excellent experience with a fantastic mix of relaxing, soothing massage, blended with traditional healing and body intentionality. Mimmi is a wonderful professional who creates an environment of calm relaxation, guiding me through the process, and giving me a setting where I could feel truly relaxed and escape the world for a moment. A wonderful experience with a warm professional who delivers that blended mix of traditional body healing through massage with aplomb.

Understanding PDA Pathological Demand Avoidance

What is Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)?

Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is a relatively newly discovered profile of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), where the person has a higher than normal avoidance of everyday demands. The PDA Society in the UK has great resources available for those wanting to learn the full scope of PDA.

A growing number of PDA individuals and parents to PDA kids are starting to use the abbreviation as “Pervasive Drive for Autonomy”, because the chore of PDA seems to be just that – an intense need to be “in the flow” without disruptions, and follow a natural transcendence of activities at all times. When this flow is disrupted, we get a sense of losing control, thus developing anxiety and demand avoidance as a result.

Why are PDA's Demand Avoidant?

When someone look at a PDA person and trying to figure them out, the number one thing that might come to their mind might be “oh they seem rather avoidant of demands”. They might see the child as extra difficult, label them with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) or simply try to make them conform to rules in an extra authoritative way. They will quickly learn that no matter what they do, this child will not by any means do as they are told. Because this person will become extremely demand avoidant.

But why are these kids so defiant? Is there any way to make us do what you want to do just because you say so? Is PDA a healthy sign of a spiritual being showing you that authoritative ways are not the ways of the world, and that perhaps that if you stop being busy trying to control us, we can show you a different way to lead the world?

PDA Pathological Demand Avoidance1

"But you don't look autistic?"

Individuals with PDA often go mis/undiagnosed because they do not appear “traditionally autistic”, appear more socially adapted, and often have special interests in and around human behaviours, copying the mannerisms of one or more individuals to create one or multiple profiles, or “costumes” to play the game of society. They are often controlling and demanding, holding many of the traditional communication and social deficiencies for an autistic individual, though in a more charismatic and/or avoidant way.

PDA looks different than other profiles of Autism such as Asperger’s syndrome due to our high ability to adapt and blend in with neurotypicals.

Autistic folks often finds the society in which we live a very complex, confusing and overwhelming place. Neurotypical people and their behaviors are very difficult to understand. There seem to be a lot of things they attach to that makes little sense to autistics.

PDA Pathological Demand Avoidance

How does it feel like living with PDA?

Autistics overall have a higher demand for autonomy, and can get drawn into something they find interesting and spend a significant amount of time researching and learning about it. Many call this a “special interest”, but we simply just have an intense feeling of need to explore and find the answers to the construct of the world we live in.

PDA people often have special interests that are based in understanding and adapting to behaviors. Perhaps it comes from a place where we early discover how different we are to the public, and trying everything we can to understand and copy. We often become extremely good at masking, to the point we learn to mirror the people we surround ourselves with and can easily fit in as “neurotypical”. But on the inside, we are constantly aware of being different, and always judging and scanning our environment to make sense of it.

PDA is not easy - The hidden mental disability

Some PDA people might not conform or manage to fit in. Depending on their capacity or strive to mask, they might find a different path, such as creating “alters”, characters or animals they can play when dealing with various groups, or they might find fitting in so demanding that they simply avoid people all together, or develop severe social anxiety and Selective Mutism (SM).

Sadly, many PDA’ers turn to substance or alcohol abuse or develop other unhealthy forms of escapism from this world.

Are some of the biggest creators in this world actually PDA?

It might be a bold statement, but I believe that many of the biggest entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, scientists and other creators are in fact PDA’ers. If we can’t make sense of the world, we can create our own world, of which we are the rule makers. Authors and film makers can dive deep into a fantasy world of their own, musicians and artists can express their view of the world in a multitude of creative ways, and entrepreneurs and scientists can innovate and shape an environment where their ideas become ideology.

Is the nature behind PDA actually an intense drive to create change in the world we live in? Is it thanks to people like us that we live in this modern world? Did we do ourselves an unfavor to innovate and create things that neurotypicals would never have imagined, and together we have created such a complex world that even neurotypicals struggle to navigate?
