Why We Don’t Teach “Just the Holotropic Style”

Yes, there are techniques.

There are rhythms.
Wave patterns.
Breath holds.
Activations.

Each of these modalities carries medicine. And yet, what we teach is something different.

NALU BREATHWORK IS NOT A TECHNIQUE - It’s A LIFESTYLE

In our training, we teach four distinct breath styles — including a wave breath rooted in holotropic tradition.

But technique is the smallest layer of what actually makes a facilitator powerful. Because breathwork isn’t just about how you breathe.

Nalu Breathwork is about:

You can learn a breathing pattern in a few hours.

You cannot shortcut embodied leadership.

The Difference Between Intensity and Integration

The breathwork world is expanding rapidly. There is beauty in that. But intensity can easily be mistaken for depth.

A powerful session does not automatically equal integration. Catharsis does not automatically equal healing. Altered states do not automatically equal embodiment. In Nalu, we are less interested in how dramatic the session looks, and more interested in how deeply it transforms the way you live.
